Robert Eadie, RSW (1877-1954)
Born in Glasgow, Eadie is a painter who is mainly known for his oils and watercolours. A painter of architectural subjects, townscapes, portraits and landscape, also poster artist and lithographer. Educated in Glasgow, continued his studies in Munich and Paris.
Eadie is known for his elegant portraits, which are full of details of the period; his street scenes featuring views of Glasgow and Edinburgh (and also other major Scottish cities), his landscapes and his beach scenes.
