Robert Egginton was born in 1942 the grandson of Wycliffe Egginton, R.I (1875-1951) and nephew of Frank J. Egginton (born 1908). Robert was educated in the traditional style of water-colour painting similar to that of his Uncle and Grandfather. He lives in Grantown-on- Spey and paints full time exhibiting widely in Scotland, London and Ireland. He paints accurate and detailed studies of famous land marks and riverscapes.
