Robert Henry Roe (1793-1880)
Painter in oil of Highland sporting scenes, including animals and birds. Considering the frequency with which his Highland landscapes are to be seen, very little is known about his life.
He lived in Sandbank, Argyll and later Glasgow 1854-57. He exhibited extensively in the English provinces. Roe was also a miniaturist and engraver.
