James Burrell Smith, fl.1850-1881
A landscape painter and watercolourist, Smith lived mainly in Alnwick, Northumberland. He exhibited only at the Society of British Artists, Suffolk Street, London 1850-1881. His landscape views are of various parts of the UK, but he was most fond of painting streams and waterfalls, sometimes with anglers in the foreground.
