With over 40 years experience Anthony Woodd has been running an art gallery in the heart of Edinburgh, Scotland. Formerly Director of the Malcolm Innes Gallery, in 2000 he launched his own gallery in Dundas Street, the centre of Edinburgh’s commercial art world.
The Anthony Woodd Gallery sells traditional art – mainly nineteenth century oils, watercolours and prints covering a wealth of subjects from Scottish landscape, sporting and military scenes to portraiture, caricatures and maps. Moreover, the gallery shows the work of some of the hugely talented traditional contemporary artists working today in Scotland and maintains a selection of affordable pictures alongside sculptures in bronze, ceramic and wood. The gallery also offers other services including restorations, valuations and framing, and is always interested in buying new works of art.
With up to four exhibitions per year the stock of both the Anthony Woodd Gallery and The Red Room is ever-changing and the Gallery is always interested in seeking new acquisitions should a client or dealer wish to sell a picture on a 25% plus VAT commission basis. The gallery also provides services to help manage private art collections; however large or small; from valuation and sales to restoration and framing and with source contacts internationally the gallery welcomes requests for pictures you may be looking for. All queries will be answered, including requests for general information on pictures.
With enhanced search features on the website the gallery hopes to build on its international customer base and ease the viewing of works of art for its customers.
