Andrew Scott Rankin (1862-1942)

Born and painted in Scotland. Painter of domestic genre, animals and rustic buildings mostly in oil but occasionally in watercolour. He was a staff member of several magazines including Today and worked as a caricaturist of The Idler c.1893. 

Rankin also painted landscapes in oil and watercolour in a somewhat 'sweet' but effective style.
