Draughtsman and lithographer of naval and military costumes. He seems to have worked mainly for the publisher W.Spooner. He often collaborated with L.Mansion. His sixty plates from Spooner's Upright Series: Officers of the British Army with L.Mansion 1833-6 are amongst the most famous of his works.
