Colin Graeme Roe was from the Sheffield area and is thought to be the son of Robert Henry Roe. Colin’s work was very variable, at times very poor but at others really quiet good. Tradition tells us he had a drink problem which probably accounts for the variation in quality and content. The theory behind why Roe signed his work both ‘Colin Graeme Roe’ and ‘Colin Graeme’ is that he fell out with his family and thereafter ceased to use the family name
Colin Graeme, ( 1858-1910)
