John Henderson, (1860-1924)
John Henderson was born in Glasgow and died in Busby. He was a painter in oil and watercolour of landscape, figure subjects and animals. He studied at GSA under Robert Greenlees. His work is described as having 'a refined feeling for woodland and burnside landscape and a culutral ideal of design, in which balance of mass and rythm of line are combined with respect for those tender and characteristic beauties of natural form and growth which charm one so in Nature' by Caw, the director of Glasgow School of Art.
