John Mitchell, (1837-1926)
Born Woodside, Donside. Painted many scenes of Aberdeen and Balmoral. Landscapes highly coloured with dominant blues and purples in the hills and with vivid greens and yellows in the foreground. Exhibited RA and RSA.
