 Charlotte Nasmyth, 1804-1884

Charlotte was the youngest daughter of Alexander. She painted very much in the style of her father and arguably had the most talent of all the other sisters. She painted mainly landscapes in oil and watercolour. Exhibited RA 1840-1862, five of the works being Essex landscapes. Also exhibited RSA and the Paris Salon. Her portrait, by William Nicholson, hangs in the National Scottish Portrait Gallery.
