George Melvin Rennie (1874-1953)

Scottish painter in oil, watercolour, pastel, charcoal and pencil and pen and ink and he specialised in  landscape painting. 

In 1916 he suffered an incident which badly damaged his right shoulder and a result he he sold his share of the business and concentrated exclusively on landscape painting, with an occasional portrait and still life. He worked in Aberdeenshire for most of his working life. 

He sold directly to the public rather than through the academies although he did exhibit with the AAS.
