Robert Diaz, (fl. 1880-1896)
Painter in oil and watercolour of buildings and interiors. Spend part of his life in Edinburgh and later in Glasgow, his final exhibits coming from 138 West Graham Street. He worked similar in scope to George Aikman. Exhibited RSA 1885 and 1886, including a study of John Knox's House in the High Street, and other works in 1889-90 and 1891-2, RSW and GI. Approximately 20 works of his are in the Edinburgh Room at the Edinburgh Central Library and at Huntly House. His works is also in the collection of the City of Edinburgh.
