John Douglas Scott, (fl. 1963-1885)
Scottish landscape painter, usually the scenery of Perthshire and the western Highlands. Lived and worked at Roslyne Cottage, Bridge of Allan, before moving to 24 George Street, Edinburgh. Exhibited 3 landscapes at the RA 1872 and 1880-81, AAS(1) & GI(14), but mainly confined his exhibits to the RSA where between 1866 and 182 he exhibited 45 works
